Report: Robert Kraft Spa Case, War Over Video Hits Appeals Court

New England Patriots Robert Kraft is still making headlines with the day spa scandal. The whole thing got stuck in a courtroom, and this day was of great importance for the Patriots owner.

The State of Florida attempts to convince an appeals court to allow graphic video from inside the Jupiter day spa to be used in the case against the Patriots owner. It was live-streamed, and a lot of now talk about it.

Prosecutors explained that Jupiter police officer had a warrant to install cameras inside the day spa. This came after they suspected that the day spa was offering services you’d usually get in a brothel. Well, someone wanted to catch criminals in the act, and the Patriots owner ended up on their list along with 10 other men.

According to police officers, Kraft visited the day spa on two different occasions in 2019.

In the previous ruling, the judge ruled the foootage was not permissible because the police officers didn’t protect innocent people who got an actual and legal massage. Their surveillance wasn’t excused and innocent customers were taped.

The State of Florida is now appealing the decision. A panel of judges in the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach will discuss the previous ruling. Will they confirm it? Will they change it?

Jeffrey DeSousa represents the State of Florida. The Patriots owner is represented by Derek Shaffer. DeSousa says the video was made legally. He added that prosecutors should use the footage to prosecute the Patriots owner. He believes that this video is the right evidence they need in this case.

As you may know, the sting operation at a Jupiter massage parlor revealed that the Patriots owner solicited prostitution. According to them, Kraft paid for the service on two occasions.

Judges first allowed prosecutors to use the video in the case. However, Kraft has an excellent team of attorneys. Тhey have argued that the video should not be permissible. They work really well to protect his reputation. The Patriots owner faces two charges of soliciting prostitution. He may even get jail time.
