Report: Los Angeles Lakers Without Several Key Rotation Players vs. Sacramento Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers will face Sacramento Kings on Thursday without two key rotation players.

Guards Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will not play for Los Angeles on their final game for the regular season.

LeBron James is on the injury report with a sore right groin, but is listed as probable. Anthony Davis is also uncertain for Thursday’s game. This could make things even harder for the Lakers to finish their bubble games with a 4-4 record.

Generally, Los Angeles has struggled in the Orlando, Fla. bubble. However, Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets went well, with Lakers winning 124-121.

Kuzma’s Moment To Shine

Kyle Kuzma was responsible for the final score, drilling an amazing 3-pointer. This definitely lifted the Lakers in a game that had a playoff atmosphere all the way through.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were very impressed, and they had great words for their teammate.

“He’s always been confident,” Davis said. “He’s not afraid to take or make big shots, as you can see tonight. He wants to guard the best player on the floor. He wants to take the challenges. He’s been great for us all year. He’s getting into his rhythm on both ends of the floor. Like I said, he’s going to be huge for us, especially in the playoffs.”

The Lakers have already locked up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, so it might be a good idea to sit key rotation players for the remaining game. With that, they will make sure they are healthy for the postseason.

Los Angeles are also expected to eventually get point guard Rajon Rondo back this postseason.

The Kings, on the other hand, have already been eliminated from playoff contention. They will however try to end with a win in order to carry some momentum into next season.
