Report: Patriots Veteran WR At Risk of Being Cut

Apparently, there is news that a New England Patriots veteran WR is at risk of being cut. The Patriots are working on bouncing back after a disappointing season last year. They have a lot of holes to fill if they want to step it up. They are mostly doing this through free agents but are also looking at trades as well.

But now it looks like they might be even looking at cutting a surprising piece. Mohamed Sanu has a huge season coming up in 2020. However, according to some people, Sanu might be at risk of missing the cut completely.

He had a notably bad season last year and maybe the Patriots don’t really see a need to keep him on the team. Last season, one of the biggest problems was their lack of play making ability on offense. This cut would take away from that even more.

Patriots training camp has shown us some pretty big surprises at wide receiver. Julian Edelman is more than a lock coming into the season—even he is taking care of some nagging injuries.

N’Keal Harry has also been hot and cold. However, it is still way to early to give up on him already. They did draft him in the first round in 2019 which is pretty early. The Patriots will be doing everything they can to keep him on the field. Hopefully he works on and can add some stuff to the team.

The biggest surprises have been Gunner Olszewski and Devin Ross. Both of these players came in undrafted and could be looking at a roster spot. If they both end up making the team, it could mean trouble for Sanu.

The biggest part of Sanu’s game is his experience. This is definitely something that Olszewski and Ross do not. He has also been coaching up the younger guys with is a important thing. We have also seen that he does have some chemistry with Cam Newton.

What do you think that they should do with Sanu before the season?
