Udonis Haslem Calls Out LeBron James & George Hill During Testy Wednesday Meeting

Miami Heat veteran Udonis Haslem didn’t have great words for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Haslem played a big role during the NBA players meeting on Wednesday. Chris Hayness from Yahoo Sports reported that Haslem singled out LeBron and George Hill during the discussion.

Haslem called out King James and his line of questioning wasn’t really packed with kind words.

“With emotions all over the place, Haslem pressed James and asked the star what he planned to do, reminding him that he’s the face of the league and it goes as he goes, sources said. James then said, ‘We’re out,’ and walked out with almost all of his teammates following behind, sources said, with Dwight Howard being the only Laker who remained.”

The Los Angeles Clippers did the same. The team left the meeting right after the Lakers. Both LA teams were the only franchises to support the end of the season.

Hill took a piece of the cake, too. Haslem called out Hill for the irresponsible act.

“Haslem — in a clear message to George — stated that it was irresponsible and selfish for an established veteran to suggest that everyone should go home because younger players haven’t accumulated the wealth for such a drastic action, sources said.”

It was a heated meeting and players were all over it. We understand their attitude. Everyone is confused and worries. NBA players came to Orlando to win a game. Boycotting the remainder of the season would be a terrible blow for the league. The NBA almost shut down the season. Well, players are about to return to the floor and they will use their presence in Orlando to make a statement.

Basketball superstars voted to resume the playoffs during their Thursday meeting. Games will resume on Saturday.

The heated meeting was an expected outcome of the situation. The tension was more than obvious.

So, LA will have their games on Saturday and it will be nice to see the players take the court again. LeBron and his teammates had a really good game in the playoffs. They are one step away from the second round.
