September 15, 2020
Anthony Davis was the No.1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft for the New Orleans Pelicans. The big man is now part of the Los Angeles Lakers and he has a great chance to win his first ring. The brilliant Anthony Davis joined the Lakers for an excellent season and his stats are impressive.
Davis earned his first All-Star selection in his second NBA season. He earned these honors in every other season. During his time with the Pelicans, the Lakers big man led the league in blocks per game three times and averaged 28 points per game or more on two occasions. 2017-18 was his best season. Davis was averaging 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.6 blocks per game all while shooting 53.4% from the field.
In the 2019 offseason, the Pelicans sent him to Los Angeles. Davis and LeBron James make an excellent duo and their chemistry put the team on top of the West. In his debut season with the Lakers, Davis was averaging 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per regular-season game.

LA defeated the Portland Trail Blazers and smashed the Houston Rockets in a similar fashion. They are now waiting to meet the winner of the series between LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets.
Davis is averaging 27.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in the playoffs. He has a player option for 2020-21, and it looks like he plans to decline it. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports believes that no team anticipates the big man leaving his LA team. How does Davis feel right now?
“It just feels like everything is falling into place,” he said after the Game 5 win over James Harden and the Rockets. “When I got here obviously the goal was to win championships, and we’re eight wins away. It’s been a great process for me. It’s been great being around the guys that we have, obviously, it’s been great being around ‘Bron, him helping me through it all. Obviously, at this point now, the Western Conference Finals is new for me, so that process is going to be fun, but it’s everything that I envisioned.”
