Lakers Give Concerning Injury Update For LeBron James Ahead of Game 2 vs Rockets

Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been dealing with a groin injury for two years. Will this injury stop the great LeBron James from suiting up in the game vs Houston Rockets?

The Lakers will play the second game of the series against Houston. They lost Game 1, and LeBron’s talent couldn’t help the team avoid the 112-98 loss. That’s not the only problem. LeBron’s groin injury is still here, and it looks like it has affected his status for the second game of the playoff series. King James finished Game 1 with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Fans and players didn’t notice his pain on the floor. But, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel noticed it after the game.

This is the same injury that kept the four-time NBA MVP in the last four seeding games. The same pain kept him at the Lakers sidelines in 2019-20. The Lakers listed him as questionable for Gae 1, but he played 37 minutes.

If you take a look at the latest injury report, you will notice that the Lakers listed LeBron as probably for Game 2.

We’ve seen LeBron on a lot of lists this postseason, but he has yet to miss a game. In other words, LeBron is probably playing against James Harden and the Rockets.

This doesn’t change the fact that this groin pain is a concern for the Laker and the organization. If the Lakers plan to win the second game of the series and make the deep postseason run, they will have to take care of LeBron. This injury may easily turn into a nightmare for the team.

In the post-game press conference, LeBron shared his thoughts on the Rockets’ speed. They caught his team off-guard. LeBron and his team are ready for the next game, and they will come prepared for the challenge. Magic Johnson warned his team and they better listen to his words.
