Lakers Provide Worrisome Update on Rajon Rondo Ahead of Game vs Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers have released a worrisome update on Rajon Rondo ahead of their game 1 vs the Denver Nuggets. LeBron James and company will, surprisingly, not be facing the Clippers in the Wester Conference Finals. The Los Angeles Lakers are amazingly talented. In pretty much any given game, they will have the most talent against their opponent. That did not stop many NBA pundits from picking the Clippers over the Lakers, however.

But it seems that the Lakers and Clippers were not meant to meet each other in the Western Conference Finals. After going ahead of the Nuggets 3-1, they managed to lose 3 straight games and were knocked out of the NBA bubble in the second round. Now, it will be the Lakers and the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

The Lakers have the Nuggets beat in just about every category. The Nuggets do not have anything to lose and have already beat any expectations about them. That means they could easily come out as the aggressor and could win if the Lakers don’t show up.

Lakers Provide Worrisome Update on Rajon Rondo Ahead of Game vs Nuggets

That is especially true of Rajon Rondo does not play. Before the first match with the Nuggets, Rondo has once again made his way on the injury list. Rondo only very recently came back from his hand injury. However, now it looks like he is dealing with back spasms.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Rondo was eventually able to join the Lakers in the bubble. He has not had to deal with spasms in his back since suiting up.

So far, he has played in a total of only 5 games for the Lakers in the bubble. Rondo is averaging 10.6 points, 7.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game during those 5 games.

The Lakers have been pretty good without Rondo in the lineup. However, he definitely does add quite a lot of talent to the Lakers backcourt. Rondo adds some stability as a veteran who has been in a situation like this before.

Rajon Rondo has been great for the Lakers and it would be great to see him back in the lineup. We will have to wait and see what happens.
