Rajon Rondo Moved 11th On All-Time Playoff Assists List

Los Angeles Lakers veteran Rajon Rondo jumped into 11th all-time on the playoff assists list in Game 4 against the Houston Rockets.

Rondo passed Detroit Pistons Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas. This time he rushed past Boston Celtics superstar Dennis Johnson. Michael Jordan is next on the list with his 1,022 career playoff assists.

Rondo’s playoff assists happened during his time with the Boston Celtics. The Lakers veteran averaged 9.2 assists in 92 playoff games with Boston. This includes 11.9 dimes per game during the 2011-12 season. He also averaged 12.2 assists for the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2017-18 season.

From what we can see, Rondo has been stacking his assists for quite some time.

The Lakers entered the playoffs with an injured Rondo. He fractured his thumb right after arriving in Orlando. The team couldn’t provide any information on his return, but he was cleared earlier than expected.
