Lakers’ LeBron James Takes Aim at Nets With Strong Message

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 18. Players are getting ready for the game. It’s a challenging game for the team, but the victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves sure motivated them. Lakers superstar LeBron James takes aim at the Nets, and his teammates agree with him on this one.

Brooklyn is packed with talent. Kevin Durant and James Harden add MVP spice to the game. All-Star Kyrie Irving adds up points, too. Harden, KD, and Irving combine for over 80 points per game. That’s pretty impressive.

LeBron and his teammate will face a big team, but he king of basketball has the perfect message.

“Um, have we forgot about KD, Steph (Curry) and Klay (Thompson) already?” he told reporters. “I mean, there you go. There you go right there.”

LeBron takes expected aim at Nets

Many would agree that this game will probably be a Finals preview. There are too many injuries on both sides. It will be interesting to watch LeBron compete against KD. Anthony Davis won’t join his teammates as he is dealing with an Achilles injury and a calf strain.

KD is dealing with a hamstring issue and Irving has issues with his back. Both players missed Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. Harden led his teammates with his 38 points. It was a good comeback win against the Suns.

“It’s always exciting for me to go against some of the best guys in the game — and they got three of them,” LeBron said. “They got three of the best guys in the game. Definitely would love to be full when you’re playing against a team like that and see, like, at that point in the season, how you match up — how you match up against some of the best teams in the league. And, obviously, we won’t be full on Thursday. But, other than that, yeah, I love going out there and just being out on the floor with some of the best to play this game.”

LA is ready for Brooklyn

The win against Minnesota shows off the depth Rob Pelinka added in the offseason. Dennis Schroder scored 24 points, Montrezl Harrell had 17, and Marc Gasol added 11.

Harrell agrees with LeBron when it comes to describing the upcoming game.

“Honestly, I don’t really care,” he said. “We go into every game with a game plan, know offensively, defensively what we want to do in order to win that game, and that’s going to be the same thing we’re going to have to do when we play on Thursday.

“There’s nothing no different. We’re not circling that game. We’re not putting any extra emphasis on that game. It’s just like any other game — we’re taking it one game at a time. We’re still learning, we’re still growing and we’re still building with one another, and we’re gonna have to do it to a higher standard with losing one of our big pieces [in Davis].”
