Report: Patriots Rookie Ruled Out for Week 2, Tweets Cryptic Message

There as been a Patriots rookie ruled out of Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. That means, if you were wanting to see one of the best rookies play for the New England Patriots this week, you are going to have to continue waiting for at least another week. The Patriots were very busy this off season. They were trying to bounce back after a pretty disappointing 2019 season.

After also missing the Miami Dolphins game in week 1, Josh Uche will again have to sit out play in the Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks. According to the injury report that was released yesterday, Uche was the only one going to miss. There are also a few players on injured reserve.

This is disppointing as many wanted to see him in action for the first time. The Patriots definitely need all the help they can get this week. They are playing a very good and experienced Seahawks team who knows how to win. Here is a quick look at the full report.

After this news, Uche took to Twitter to send out a cryptic message about his return.

Most agree that an ankle injury is the reason for his inability to play. But it also makes you wonder if that is really the case since he was a healthy scratch in week one. This could mean that he is in need of more development before taking the field.

Still though, all eyes will be on Cam Newton, who will be starting in his second game with the Patriots in week 2. Bill Belichick definitely believes in what Newton is capable of.

“He’s come in and do everything we’ve asked him to do,” Belichick said during training camp this year “He works had. He’s obviously a very talented player and looking forward to continue to work with him. We’ll just take it day-by-day, but he’s given us everything he’s had and we’ve tried to put the team in the best position we can competitively. We’ll see how that all comes out. I’m sure a lot of things will change as the season goes along. We are where we are for right now and just keep trying to get better every day.”
