Bill Belichick Once Again Speaks Highly Of Cam Newton ‘Tremendous Leadership’

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick agreed to bring Cam Newton to Foxboro for one year, and this turned out to be the best decision he has ever made. Newton had a really great start with the Patriots. His teammates like him a lot, and Newton enjoys giving some cool nicknames to the guys.

Newton’s leadership skills have been really impressive. Belichick and all the Patriots players have lauded Newton’s leadership. The Patriots head coach praised Newton’s ability to build a nice chemistry with every member of the Patriots family. It’s interesting to see Newton instill great confidence on the people he works with.

“Cam does a great job of connecting with everybody,” Belichick told media members on Friday. “Whether it’s his teammates, his receivers, guys on defense, other people in the organization. I think the captain voting, not that that’s the ultimate final determination of leadership, but I think the fact that he’s been here a pretty short amount of time and earned that type of respect and support from his teammates is pretty impressive. I think it’s across the board. It’s the offensive line, it’s the receivers, it’s all the offensive players and coaches, and it extends into other areas as well like special teams and defense and other people in the organization. I think that we’ve all seen that and it’s impressive.”
