Magic Johnson is a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He took to his Twitter account to share a photo of him and the Black Mamba. The NBA legend did this right before Game 1 of the World Series.

The Dodgers made the World Series for the third straight year. This is their third appearance in the past four seasons. The final two appearances ended with a failure. LA hopes to do something great and do things differently this time.

The Dodgers had three straight wins to defeat the Atlanta Braves in the NCLS. They will see the Tampa Bay Rays.

Johnson and Dodgers fans can’t wait to see what happens in Game 1. The former Lakers president of basketball operations shared a photo of him and the Black Mamba attending one of the games the Dodgers had in the past.

“One of my great memories, hanging with Kobe at a Dodgers game,” Johnson tweeted. “Thinking of my friend before Game 1 of the World Series tonight. Let’s go Dodgers!!!”

Kobe died in a helicopter crash outside Los Angeles. Sports fans still try to find a way to cope with the terrible loss. Kobe was an icon and true mentor for young basketball fans.

The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship in honor of the basketball legend. The Dodgers are next on the list. They will probably do their best to pay a great tribute to Kobe. Winning the World Series would be more than awesome for Dodgers fans.
