Bill Belichick Delivers Message Of Support For Armenians Defending Artsakh

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick offered his support for Armenians who defend against the Azeri situation in the Caucuses. The brilliant coach has words of support for Armenians in the Republic of Artsakh who fight against drone and missile strikes launched by Azerbaijani forces in Nagorno-Karabakh. Coach Belichick was loud and clear and many people share the same opinion.

“To Armenians around the world, I just want to send a quick message and let you know that I stand with you during these difficult times,” Belichick said in a video posted by Berj Najarian. “I have learned that throughout Armenian history, regardless of any adversity or tragedy, the Armenian people have continued to thrive and persevere. I hope and pray for peace, justice, and the safety of the brave soldiers who are fighting for [Artsakh’s] recognition and freedom.”

Bill Belichick has supported Armenians in the past

The Patriots head coached signed and sent a petition to the United States elected officials encouraging the recognition of Artsakh. Ethnic Armenians who live in the area seek self-determination but the world recognizes them as a part of Azerbaijan.

Coach Belichick has voiced his support for the Armenians on so many occasions in the past. We saw him wearing an Armenian flag pin in the Super Bowl XLIX win celebration at the White House on the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in 2015. Belichick knows how to make a statement and many people will follow his example. The Patriots coach uses his platform to raise awareness and address important topics in the country and the world in general.

When it comes to the New England Patriots, the team has lost four games in a row and the situation doesn’t look really good. NFL analysts had high expectations from Cam Newton following his impressive start of the season. But, Newton’s fumble in the fourth quarter of the game was the last thing New England needed. It happened, and the legendary coach will consider this when making a decision on Newton.

Belichick and the Patriots are in the middle of a tough season. He still hopes to finish the season with more wins.
