Caruso played college hoops at Texas A&M. in 2018, he was part of the NBA Draft but teams weren’t interested in his skills. The talented player spent some time in the G-League, and then signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. He played for the South Bay Lakers, the G-League subsidiary.

It was a good year, and Caruso kept elevating his performance. In the 2018-19 season, he was the only Laker aside from LeBron to have a 30-point, 10-rebound, and 5-assist night. This gave him a two-year deal with the Lakers.

The Lakers didn’t pay too much attention to Caruso and didn’t have high expectations from him. This didn’t stop the young player from becoming a key player. Caruso had a key role in the 2020 NBA Championship run.

The Laker talked to JJ Reddick and opened up several topics, including his favorite meme.

“My favorite meme about me? I think the photoshop picture was probably my favorite. I got back before training camp and I’m working out. Just when they opened up the facilities, and of course they have a social media team taking pictures of everybody in the gym. There’s one of me in the weight room.

“I look good, look like I had been lifting a little bit, towards the end of the lift. It goes out on the internet, like 2 months after I signed my contract. So I’m still like top of the radar for LA fans to tweet and talk about. Some kid photoshops it to make it look like I’m a defensive end in the NFL.”

LA will need Caruso and his talent in the next season. Is he staying on the team?
