Report: Los Angeles Lakers Found Replacement For Danny Green

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing smart this offseason and they have already started making changes. Several players will opt out of their player option and some of the veterans will be traded away. NBA analysts have made some calculations and they all got the same result. The Lakers are looking for a replacement for Danny Green.

It looks like they have found one. Los Angeles made a big move Sunday. Initial reports revealed that the team has agreed on a deal to trade for Oklahoma City Thunder Dennis Schroder. The team will send the No. 28 overall pick and Green to Oklahoma to get Schroder. LA worked really hard to get a 3-and-D type replacement for Green in the rotation.

The Lakers have shown interest in signing Wesley Matthews away from the Milwaukee Bucks. Is he the right player to replace Green?

NBA analysts believe that Matthews is a great addition to the Lakers roster.

In the 2019-20 season, Matthews was averaging 7.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 36.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Matthews may not have the playoff experience like Green, but he is definitely an excellent contributor on both ends of the court.

Adding Schroder and Matthews to the roster seems like a good move. It’s more than obvious that the Lakers would try to snatch another championship. They have to get the best of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. LeBron would stay around for a while and the same applies to Davis. Rob Pelinka is taking care of that topic. He will do whatever it takes to keep Davis on the roster. Los Angeles played well this past season and they had to make a few more changes to make things easier for their superstars.

LeBron is leading the situation and he will surely enjoy sharing the basketball court with high-end players. It’s time for a big win, and Lakers players are on their way to the top. Again. They made the top of the Western Conference in 2019-20. Orlando was a small bite for the team and they returned home with a championship.
