Cam Newton Releases Message For Patriots Fans

New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton didn’t make the playoffs this season and delivered a message for his Patriots fans. It was an emotional message and a big warning for his doubters.

Newton joined the Patriots in an effort to rejuvenate his career and lead the team to the big game. Sadly, he couldn’t do that. New England left the playoff contention on Sunday after losing the match to the Miami Dolphins.

The Patriots haven’t missed the postseason since 2008. Newton has a message for his fans. He wants everyone to know that he accepts his responsibility. Newton also promised to help turn things around next season.

“Dear Patriot Nation, I will be the first to tell you that this year has been unacceptable in more ways than one,” Newton wrote in an Instagram message this afternoon. “The standard has been and always have been set and unfortunately we (I) did not live to what that standard was at all times or consistently enough. With that being said the answer(s) is(are) in the locker room and one thing I do know about this bunch is that this locker room is filled with guys who want to be part of the solution including me! All things considered, you will not see any “finger pointing” of “excuse making” but more accountability being placed on the guys(me) to get the job done! I think I speak for myself and others when I say challenge accepted!”

Cam Newton enjoys the support of his Patriots fans

The 2015 NFL MVP signed a one-year deal with the team. He will hit free agency this offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick has to make a decision regarding his starting quarterback. Will he let Newton do the job in the upcoming season? We don’t really know if he will let Newton finish the season. Maybe second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham will start the next couple of games. Belichick didn’t let him start games this season. Stidham has to work on his game and gain more experience.

The Patriots will enter this offseason with a few open questions.
