Magic Johnson Reacts to LeBron James’ 2-year Extension With Lakers

Four-time NBA champion LeBron James signed a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron joined the team to win titles and will enter his third season as a Laker. His first season wasn’t really successful, and LeBron missed 17 games due to a groin injury. Unlike his debut with the purple and gold, LeBron’s second season was really successful. The team won its 17th title and LeBron got his fourth ring. Yes, LeBron won his fourth NBA Finals MVP at 35. He will turn 36 later this month. This was probably the reason he had to sign a contract extension with the franchise.

Former Lakers director of basketball operations Magic Johnson addressed LeBron’s extension. He was more than impressed with this move. The Hall of Famer approves it, and he is really delighted to see LeBron commit to the purple and gold.

Johnson took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts on LeBron’s deal. He congratulated the Lakers on extending the contract with the franchise.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis sign a good contract extension with the team

On Wednesday, sources confirmed that the Lakers front office agreed to sign LeBron to a two-year deal worth $85 million. LeBron signed his first contract with the team in the summer of 2018. The king of basketball had a player option for the 2021-22 season. It looks like he will stay on the team through 2022-23.

A day after LeBron agreed to sign his extension, Anthony Davis and the Lakers agreed to sign a five-year contract worth $190. Pretty much every expert agrees that Davis deserves every dollar from his new contract.

The reigning champions are not really worried about the upcoming season. They have added several valuable players to the roster. Marc Gasol, Montrezl Harrell, Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews, and a few other players will do their best to help the team win another championship. LeBron will be leading the way for the team, and he will keep doing his magic with Davis and the rest of the guys. Gasol is really excited about his future plays with the four-time NBA champion.
