Marc Gasol Gives Strong Reaction To Brother Pau Gasol’s Desire to Rejoin Lakers

NBA veteran Pau Gasol would gladly finish his great career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He talked about this possibility this past week. Will the Lakers give him a chance to play in the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season? Newly-acquired Lakers player Marc Gasol talked about his brother joining the Lakers.

On Thursday, Marc talked about the comments Pau made during his Zoom call with the media.

“First and foremost, Pau has to be healthy and has to continue to stay healthy throughout the process of rehabbing,” Marc said. “Building that endurance, building on that continuous impact on his foot on his bone. It’s going to be crucial and the only way you know that is through playing. I think he has to find a way to play a little bit to see how his body reacts to that. I think that should be the main focus right now instead of where he’s going to play. More important is his health and how he feels and how his body reacts to the workload.”

Marc Gasol to join forces with his brother

Marc is more worried about Pau’s health than playing with him in Los Angeles. Pau was recovering in the past period and hasn’t suited up for a game since the 2018-19 season as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The former Lakers veteran has struggled with injuries and considered retiring, but he still has so much to offer. Joining his brother would be more than great and this may motivate him to give his best.

Pau and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant won two titles in 2009 and 2010, leading the franchise to the top of the West. He has great memories from his time with the Black Mamba. If the Lakers sign him, Pau will play with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Let’s not forget that the Lakers will try to win back-to-back titles.

LeBron and Davis are determined to win and the addition of Pau would be more than great. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has added a group of talented veterans this offseason. Is Pau next on the list?
