Rob Gronkowski Takes Veiled Shot at Coach Bill Belichick

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to make the Super Bowl. It didn’t take long before fans started talking about the thing between him and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Rob Gronkowski is here to stir the pot, and his recent comments on Bill Belichick are really surprising.

Big Gronk spent the first nine years of his career with the Patriots. He won three Super Bowls, made 5 Pro Bowls, was voted a 4-time All-Pro, and joined the 2010s All-Decade team in the period between 2010-18. The tight end called it career and then came back only to join Brady and the Buccaneers.

In his interview with Willie McGinest, Gronk made a difference between Belichick and Bruce Arians. The tight end gave both coaches credit for their amazing job, adding that he loves being coached up. The most surprising part of the response came when Gronk said the biggest difference was “the freedom of just being yourself with the coaches.”

“Oh I know what you mean, man. C’mon,” McGinest responded. “I’ve been there and I’ve left, and I’ve been other places.”

Rob Gronkowski made similar comments about Bill Belichick last year

Gronk has already made assertions of this kind. He mentioned something like this for the first time right after his arrival in Tampa Bay.

“[Belchick] says it all the time, man – he always says it that it’s not an easy place to play,” Gronk described his relationship with the Patriots head coach. “I’m not going to sit here and say it’s the easiest organization to play for. I’ve also never played for another organization. I haven’t even been down to Tampa yet, so I’m not even sure what to expect. But I know that the New England Patriots, hands down, it’s not the easiest place to play.”

The Patriot missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Gronk and Brady are pretty serious about their playoff game.

Skip Bayless claims that Brady and his Bucs teammates exposed the Patriots head coach. This doesn’t change the fact that Belichick is the greatest NFL coach. His coaching record is impeccable.

Belichick was winning games with Brady before he became the best quarterback in NFL history. Brady, on the other hand, is winning games with Antonio Brown, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, Gronk, and Tyler Brate.
