LeBron James Heaps Massive Praise on Kyle Kuzma’s Growth This Season

Four-time NBA champion LeBron James has nothing but words of praise for young Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma saw some struggles in the 2019-20 NBA season and had a hard time finding his role with the team. Things changed this season and Kuzma earned LeBron’s respect.

Young Kuzma had a big role in the win over the Memphis Grizzlies. LeBron discussed his growth and spoke in the name of every fan. LA celebrated a 115-105 win on Friday.

In his first two years with the Lakers, Kuzma was a big scorer. He played like an experienced star. But, his struggles in 2020 got people worried. Kuzma’s stats dropped. The addition of Anthony Davis changed Kuzma’s role on the floor.

Going from a featured scorer to a role player was a big transition for Kuzma. He was able to improve his 3-point shooting, defense and rebounding in 2021. Moreover, Kuzma did a bigger effort to run the floor in transition and run without the ball.

In the game against the Grizzlies, Kuzma scored 20 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. LA overcame a 20-point deficit and regained full control of the game in the second half.

“Kyle has figured it out,” he said on ESPN. “He’s figured out what he means to this team, he has figured out what his role is. He has starred in his role. His offensive rebounding right now, his attention to detail, his running the floor, he is knocking down shots at a high level. We’re going to be even more dynamic with Kuz being in the position that he is in now. He’s just playing some really, really good basketball.”

Kuzma shares the Lakers bench with Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Montrezl Harrell. This group boosts the team’s energy and intensity.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has great words for his players. LA looks good now and players will look to extend the winning streak. They are playing against the Denver Nuggets. This game would be like good preparation for the revamped Brooklyn Nets.
