LeBron James Reacts to Playing in Overtime in 2nd Straight Game

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is used to playing overtime. The king of basketball celebrated a double-overtime win over the Detroit Pistons. He talked about this experience and NBA veterans would agree with him on this one. According to the four-time NBA champion, playing two extra sessions isn’t really beneficial for his heart. For the second straight game, Lakers players needed more than 48 minutes to finish the job against weaker teams. However, they did seem to celebrate the win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. It took an extra five minutes to finish the job.

After the 119-112 win, LeBron talked about the fact that he had to play another game that was pushed to overtime.

“I’m good with one. I’m good with one overtime as opposed to two overtimes.”

LeBron is fine with playing in overtime

Falling behind early consistently isn’t doing the Lakers a big favor. They need to stop doing this. It’s tiring.

“Allowing ourselves to get down double-digits to start games is not something we want to do long-term.”

The four-time NBA champion is in his best shape. He is used to these overtimes. But, Lakers players really need to take advantage against teams like the Thunder and Pistons. They need to get the job done really fast. It’s a 72-game marathon and a long postseason.

LeBron had a brilliant performance in the game against his rivals. He helped the team win the second straight game. LeBron delivered in the clutch in the 135-129 double-OT win over the Detroit Pistons. As if this wasn’t enough, LeBron led his team to another triple-double night. He finished the night with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Los Angeles didn’t need LeBron to do much on the overtime. He was amazing in the second overtime to finish the job for his teammates. The Lakers scored nine points in overtime on their way to the second straight team.

Lakers players have a good record at this point of the season. They are on a good way to finish the season with a big W. LA won the title in Orlando. They will do it again.
