Patriots’ Stephon Gilmore Delete His Social Media Accounts

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs last night. The New England Patriots rooted for TB12, motivating him to win his seventh ring. That’s exactly what happened. Current and former Patriots players reacted to Brady’s great achievement. Veteran wideout Julian Edelman shared a photoshopped image of Brady and his seven rings. Rob Gronkowski was part of the big show, too. It’s interesting to note that Stephon Gilmore was nowhere to be seen on social media.

The Patriots veteran disappeared. His social media accounts went dark. Dov Kleiman confirmed that Gilmore had deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts Monday morning.

We have no information on the reasons Gilmore had to deleat his social media. However, some say this move is related to the offseason. Gilmore is set to enter a really challenging offseason. Many thought that the Patirots would get rid of him through a trade deal in 2020. Head coach Bill Belichick kept him on the roster and didn’t change his mind later in the season.

Stephon Gilmore to appear on social media later in the offseason

Will the Patriots keep Gilmore on the roster in 2021? The 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year had a key role in the Patriots’ success. He was a key player for the Patriots.

One thing stands for sure. Gilmore may not be interested in getting a $7 million 2021 salary and $343,750 roster bonus. This makes him the perfect trade candidate. If Gilmore doesn’t reach an agreement with the Patriots, he will have to go somewhere else.

NFL teams can finalize trade deals at the very beginning of the new NFL season.

Gilmore played 11 games for the Patriots in 2020. He missed three games due to a knee injury and also missed some time due to a partially torn quad. The veteran had to undergo surgery to repair the issue.

The veteran may have missed time, but he joined the Pro Bowl for the third straight year. This was his fourth voting in his career. Let’s see how will Bill Belichick handle Gilmore’s situation in the next few weeks. Will he let him go?
