Cam Newton Shows ‘Crafty’ Pocket Presence in New Video

New England Patriots veteran quarterback Cam Newton is a star and his new video is the best proof you will ever get. I mean, the man is a star. That’s why head coach Bill Belichick kept him around for another season. Belichick trusted the quarterback and decided to give him another chance. Newton’s first season with the Patriots was a failure, but it wasn’t his fault. Yes, his passing game was bad but Newton ran for the win. He helped the team win games despite his struggle with COVID-19. He joined the team in the summer and didn’t have much time to prepare. The 2015 NFL MVP became part of a new system. Jumping straight into Belichick’s system is quite a challenge.

Newton did a wonderful thing and Belichick brought him back.

The Checkdown shared a video Friday showing Newton’s best moments of 2020.

Newton and the Patriots came off a terrible season. They finished 2020 with a 7-9 record. Belichick is not someone who misses the playoffs. He built the Patriots dynasty and he won’t go throught he same again.

Cam Newton is impressive in new video

The first part of the video is from Week 3. The Patriots defeated the Las Vegas Raiders. Newton completed 17 of his 28 passes for 162 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Yes, he can do better than that. But, the quarterback ran for 27 yards in the 36-20 win. The second part is from Week 9. New England defeated the New York Jets and the veteran quarterback completed 27 of his 35 passes for 274 yards. Newton hit two touchdowns on the ground and New England celebrated a 30-27 win.

Newton, Jarrett Stidham and Jake Dolegala are under contract. Belichick will probably select a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. One thing stands for sure. Newton will probably start games for the team. The new addition will probably learn from him. Belichick has to find his quarterback of the future after all.

The Patriot s head coach strengthened his roster with players like Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry. What else could you ask for?
