LeBron James, Anthony Davis Troll Knicks in Viral Video

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the New York Knicks with Talen Horton-Tucker’s clutch shot. His game-winner gave LA a reason to celebrate. LeBron James and Anthony Davis used the opportunity to troll the Knicks. Well, they were asking for it.

THT’s shot was a long-shot attempt to avoid the new play-in tournament.

LeBron and AD had a lot of fun and they played a little game with Knicks superfan Spike Lee.

AD looked up at the scoreboard and then glared back at Lee. LeBron waved him goodbye. Well, this video made rounds on social media.

LeBron and Davis troll the Knicks for the win

King James has a long history with the Knicks. The team tried to get him to New York City. In 2010, they were really aggressive. The New York Daily News reported Lee showed up in a video as part of the Knicks’ presentation to the kid from Akron. The Athletic’s Shattered podcast had details of the video the Sopranos cast made to get LeBron.

“When the Knicks make their presentation this afternoon, the Daily News is told, they will show a video to LeBron featuring, among others, Spike Lee, Chris Rock and Reggie Jackson,” The New York Daily News detailed at the time.

LeBron decided to sign with the Miami Heat.

The four-time NBA champion didn’t join the Knicks but he likes the team.

“Ain’t no denying DIPSET! And the league is simply better off when the Knicks are winning,” he tweeted on April 22.

In the June 2020 podcast, Bill Simmons from The Ringer reported New York was LeBron’s “first choice” before the franchise botched the first meeting with the GOAT.

“From everyone I’ve talked to in the know since then, it’s clear that the Knicks were the first choice,” Simmons explained. “I’m sorry Knicks fans, earmuffs, it was basically the Knicks to lose and they just couldn’t stay out of their own way and the stories are legendary. All of them are out at this point. …Well, they had the legendary meeting. Donnie Walsh was in the wheelchair and Dolan was Dolan. They didn’t have anything prepared, and it just couldn’t have gone worse by all accounts. It was a disaster and I think at that point, combined with the decade the Knicks had just had, I think those guys were just like, ‘f— it.’”
