Kendrick Perkins Makes Bold Lakers Prediction Following Russell Westbrook Trade

Magic Johnson and Kendrick Perkins share the same opinion about Russell Westbrook. The Los Angeles Lakers got engaged into negotiations with the Washington Wizards. Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will have to part ways with the team. LA is also sending the No.22 pick in tonight’s draft. Rob Pelinka is getting Westbrook and two second-round picks.

Westbrook is a good option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The blockbuster trade has impressed a lot of fans. His experience will be of great help for the Lakers.

Perkins shared his thoughts and we are not even surprised.

“Asking me that question is like asking me if I’m going to finish my plate of food. The answer is ‘hell yeah!’ Russell Westbrook has never played with a big like Anthony Davis. Good luck to try to stop that pick and roll with Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis.. LeBron James needs Russell Westbrook for the simple fact that he’s getting up in age. Russell Westbrook is still 32, which means that he’s still in his prime… I see the Lakers coming out of the West, and I see them winning the title.”

We couldn’t agree more. Well, there’s one tiny detail. LeBron is 36 and he still plays elite basketball. Age has nothing on him. But he sure needs some help in the West. The Lakers will meet a lot of strong teams next season. Klay Thompson returns and he is pretty healthy. NBA teams will try really hard to look better next season.

Westbrook is the best addition to the Lakers at the moment. He seems to be the right piece of the puzzle. LeBron has an excellent group to work with.

Pelinka won’t stop here. He traded for Westbrook but his roster is filled with holes. The front office will probably consider adding some role players to come off the bench. According to several sources, NBA veterans would gladly ink a deal with the Lakers even if it’s a minimum deal.
