ESPN Commentator Makes Massive Prediction on Lakers’ Anthony Davis For Upcoming Season

The Los Angeles Lakers will enter the new season with LeBron James leading the way. The team was eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs. General Manager Rob Pelinka brought several veterans to Los Angeles and they all have rich playoff experience. However, most of them have yet to win their first championship. Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony sure belong to this group. There are several possible scenarios for LA, and one of the prediction is related to Anthony Davis.

LeBron, AD, and Westbrook will make the Big 3 and they will join forces with other veterans.

Westbrook’s trade was a big deal for LA. Everyone is talking about his connection with the king. Players need to establish a strong connection. Chemistry matters and LA had plenty of it inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. This helped them snatch the championship that year.

Big predictions on Anthony Davis

The Lakers big man had some struggles in the 2020-21 NBA season. He struggled to stay healthy and didn’t play his best game on the court. He wasn’t 100% Davis played the fewest minutes since his rookie campaign and had his worst field goal percentage. It was a bad season for the talented veteran but you don’t want to write him off at this point.

Former NBA champion and ESPN commentator Kendrick Perkins has a prediction. He wouldn’t write AD off at this point. During his appearance on the Road Trippin’ Show, Perkins said the following about AD:

“We keep talking about how much fire power, the spacing, and all that. But who in the hell is going to stop Anthony Davis? Please, somebody tell me that. … He doesn’t say a lot, you know. But one thing I’m going to remind you all of is that he’s not feeling this Giannis related criticism. So I’m thinking, me personally, that Anthony Davis is going to come back next year on a whole another mission.”

AD is one of the best players in the NBA when healthy. He was great with the New Orleans Pelicans and was also great with the Lakers. I mean, the guy helped LA snatch the ring.
