Russell Westbrook Sends Clear Message About His NBA Future

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Russell Westbrook in the offseason and he has great plans for his NBA future. The front office created a good offer for the nine-time All-Star. They gave up on Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The Lakers also gave up on the No.22 pick.

Westbrook will be the third superstar behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Head coach Frank Vogel has a big challenge for the team and he wants his Big 3 to make things work. These guys will have to stop competing against one another and do the best for the franchise.

Westbrook is a triple-double guy but we haven’t seen his name added to top 10 lists. Why? LeBron doesn’t mind this and he trusts his teammate.

The Lakers front office trusts him enough to add him to the roster.

Russell Westbrook to win an NBA title in the future

The team introduced Westbrook as the newest Laker. He will complete the Big Three with LeBron and AD. The front office has added enough talent to win a second title. LeBron and AD won a title inside the NBA bubble and they want to win another one.

Westbrook is coming back home. He grew up in California and being a Laker is a big thing for him. He is not trying to prove himself but he really wants to win his ring. That’s the only thing he needs at the moment.

During the introductory press conference, one of the reporters asked Westbrook if he believed he had anything left to prove.

No, I don’t,” he said. “I’ve been able to bless the people around me, my family, been able to impact people across the world with this platform that’s been given to me, and I continue to do that. Obviously I want to win a championship, but the ultimate goal is to make sure we use what we have to impact those around you.”

It looks like he has a goal. Will the Big 3 win a championship this season? Let’s see what happens next in LA. LeBron is going after his fifth ring. AD wants another one.
