The Los Angeles Lakers have pulled out a few big moves in the offseason. LeBron James will be playing with a bunch of new players, and he is ready to repeat the same success he had in 2020.
The four-time NBA champion will do his best to build chemistry with his teammates. He had a weekend minicamp right before the 2019-20. Players had a chance to learn something new about each other.
Guess what… LeBron has organized similar training camp for his teammates as confirmed by Shams Charania.
“James hosted a similar team function in 2019, the same year the team won the 2020 NBA championship,” Charania said. “The Lakers had acquired Anthony Davis in 2019 and were integrating him to the roster. This offseason, in similar fashion, the Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook and will now use this weekend as a catapult ahead of the upcoming NBA season.”
The Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook early in the offseason. Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell had t leave the Lakers. They created enough room for Russ.
LeBron to repeat 2020 success
Miami Heat Duncan Robinson believes the Lakers will provide the most exciting season in the NBA. He said that the Lakers built the most exciting roster and things can get really tricky later in the season.
“I don’t know if it’s necessarily ‘best’ because I think time will tell. But the most intriguing offseason in my opinion is out West, with the Lakers. The collection of talent and experience they’ve gathered there is truly unique when you look across the league, the average age being, I think, around 32 years old. It is going to be really interesting to see how those pieces come together.”
LeBron likes his new teammates and he will take part in another Big 3. He, Russ, and Anthony Davis will have an excellent game on the basketball court. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel gave his players a chance to swallow their egos and switch roles. They all have to make things work. This will be the most interesting season in the NBA. LeBron is winning…
