Ex-Patriots Punter Shares Hilarious Story About Bill Belichick, Tom Brady

An ex-Patriots punter has shared a hilarious story about Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The Patriots are coming off a big win on Sunday against the New York Jets. Granted, the Jets are not very good. But it was still very refreshing to see the Patriots beat down on a team as it is something we have not seen in a while. Mac Jones and the offense is getting better and better every week. But there are still some holes that need new and improved talent.

But now a story outside of the NFL season has come out surrounding Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Zoltan Mesko, a former Patriots punter, came out with a pretty funny story during an interview.

“It was 2012, the year J.J. Watt was just swatting people’s passes. He had so many batted balls. We’re playing them and he?s like, “Alright, Zoltan, come over here after special teams.” I get in the defensive huddle. It?s 7-on-7 so there’s no linemen there. He’s like, “Here, take these two tennis rackets and I want you to hit Brady’s ball into the stands if you can. I don’t care.” So I’m jumping up and touching like 12 feet and swatting Brady like 10 yards when I could.”

Line backer Dane Fletcher responded: “It was really pissing Brady off.”

Man, when I got him, Belichick was crying on the inside, like tears of joy. Brady would be like, “Zoltan, please don’t knock this one down.” Belichick was like, “No, no, I’m going to pay you 100 bucks every time you swat that ball,” Mesko continued.

Fletcher said, “It got to the point where Brady would pay $150 not to do it because Brady was getting so pissed.

“And Belichick paid up after every practice. He came with the cash,” Mesko finished.

This is pretty good stuff and just shows the relationship the two had. Belichick talked about Brady previously.

“We were together for 20-plus years and we were so productive and successful and I learned so much from him. Loved my experience here, loved my relationship with him.” Brady said.
