Patriots Reportedly Get Good News On Offensive Line

The New England Patriots have a strong offensive line and they got even better boost this time. The team is coming off of a good week. Beating the Houston Texans felt great and players are motivated to win. Analysts would agree that the Patriots offense led the team to a win last Sunday. It looks like they will get Michael Onwenu right on time for the upcoming game. This is an excellent update for the team.

Patriots offensive line wins games despite all the injuries

Of course, New England needs more big bodies for the game against the Dallas Cowboys. They are getting one in Onwenu though. The left guard will be activated from the COVID-19 list. Field Yates from ESPN confirmed that Onwenu will return to practice on Thursday. The great player missed the win over the Texans after ending up on the COVID-19 list.

Onwenu and left tackle Isaiah Wynn were added to the COVID-19 list last week. The offense was really shorthanded for the game but they still helped the team win. Patriots center David Andres praised the offense for the way they overcame the huge deficit. New England was trailing Houston throughout the entire game. Mac Jones and the offense had a spectacular performance despite the lack of big guys.

When it comes to Wynn, the Patriots have yet to provide an update on his status for the game.

Right tackle Trent Brown is on injured reserve and right guard Shaq Mason missed Wednesday’s practice due to an abdomen injury. He missed Week 5 due to this injury.

Andrews was the only regular starter on the offensive line in Houston. Ted Karras, Yodny Cajuste, Justin Herron, and James Ferentz started the game and they did a decent job. They are backup quarterbacks, remember?

Rookie quarterback Jones was sacked just once in the game and that’s great. The Patriots had great run game and did 126 yards in the good win.

Let’s see how will players handle the absence of key offensive players this week. Maybe they will win this one, too.
