Carmelo Anthony Calls out Lakers After Blowout Loss

Carmelo Anthony has called out the Los Angeles Lakers after yet another blowout loss. The Los Angeles Lakers are not looking very good thus far in the season. Fans were expecting much better than they have played and if they don’t pick it up pretty soon, they will have a rough road ahead. They have some bad losses against very poor teams in the NBA. They have lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder two times already this season.

The injury bug has also hit them pretty hard. LeBron James has not been available in the past few games. But that is not an excuse, as Anthony Davis made clear after the Thunder game.

“We’ve still got to play basketball,” Davis said recently. “He’s a big key to our team, but we’ve still got to play. I don’t know how long he’s going to be out, but we’ve still got to find ways to win basketball games.”

“We can’t control (LeBron) playing or not, but what we can control is going out there and winning basketball games,” Davis said. “With the guys that we have, we have enough pieces to still win basketball games, even though he brings a huge part to both ends of the floor of what we do.”

Carmelo Anthony recently came out and talked about the Laker’s struggles as well.

“Just playing basketball, I think for the most part tonight we just we didn’t play basketball,” Anthony admitted. “We didn’t just go out there and compete. We didn’t play hard, only played in spurts. Those guys came out hitting all cylinders, especially in that first half to get that big lead. But, it’s gonna be like that, this is part of the game.”

“We don’t know who’s going to be in here, we don’t know. We can’t control injuries, we can’t control what guys are going through physically. So, it is next man up, it sounds cliche but it is what it is. We still got to go out there and compete.”
