LeBron James Gives Brutally Honest Take on Chemistry With Russell Westbrook

The Los Angeles Lakes struggled to make an impact in the first couple of months of the regular season. Players missed a lot of time due to injuries, COVID-19, suspensions… Key players missed significant time and Frank Vogel struggled to create the perfect starting lineup. It was hard for players to build chemistry because they didn’t have a chance to play together. For instance, LeBron James didn’t have enough time to build great bond with Russell Westbrook.

It’s not that bad though. LeBron and Broddie look good on the basketball court and they won’t need too much time to find a mutual language. Westbrook came to Los Angeles to win a ring and he will do whatever it takes to get it.

LeBron James and Russell Westbrook to win games together

LeBron missed eight games due to his abdominal injury and he was also suspended for elbowing Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart. Let’s not forget that the four-time NBA champion also entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols. It was a short stint but LeBron missed a game.

The good news? LeBron and Westbrook helped the Lakers beat the Boston Celtics. King James finished the game with 30 points on 13-of-19 shooting. He was spectacular on both ends of the ball and fans had a lot of fun watching vintage LeBron in action. Magic Johnson watched the game and praised LeBron for his great work. One thing stands for sure, LeBron is back in form.

When it comes to Westbrook, he was brilliant in the third quarter of the game. Broddie hit 15 points in this part of the game. He is one of the most competitive players in the NBA and it shows.

Westbrook finished the game with 24 points on 9-of-15 and 11 assists against four giveaways. We’d all agree that Westbrook was great in the past eight games.

Big man Anthony Davis agrees that Westbrook was a bit passive at the beginning of the year. Lakers player wanted him to be himself. They wanted to see the aggressive Westbrook.
