LeBron James Advisor Responds To The Rachel Nichols Story

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has yet to share his thoughts on the comments his advisor made on ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.

The host is in the midst of the biggest NBA controversy lately. Fellow host Maria Taylor and LeBron are involved too.

Recent audio leak show that Nichols had a conversation with Adam Mandelsohn inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. The whole thing happened last year and the whole thing came to the surface this week. The New York Times has the audio. It’s mind-blowing and fans have so many questions.

During her convo with Mendelsohn, Rachel couldn’t hide her frustration. She said the network wanted to give Taylor some of her responsibilities with the program. She even said that ESPN did this because of their “crappy” history with diversity within the network.

LeBron James’ advisor makes statement on Rachel Nichols

The advisor said something about the ‘Me Too’ and ‘Black Lives Matter’ initiative.

“I don’t know. I’m exhausted,” he said during the conversation. “Between Me Too and Black Lives Matter, I got nothing left.”

The bombshell leak caused quite a stir. LeBron’s PR advisor responded to the whole situation. Can you make any guesses?

“I shouldn’t have said it or even thought it,” Mendelsohn said in an email to CNBC, via Clutch Points.

“I work to support these movements and know that the people affected by these issues never get to be exhausted or have nothing left. Have to continue to check my privilege and work to be a better ally.”

King James has been a huge advocate for movements focused on minorities and the lack of privileges in the country. He knows that his PR advisor is “exhausted” by them and this may impact their current relationship.

ESPN has yet to make comments about Nichols. Will they fine her? This attitude is unacceptable within the platform. They have been dealing with similar situations in the past and we know what happened back then.

LeBron will probably stay away from this and handle the situation behind closed doors.
