Adrian Wojnarowski Has Concerning Update On Anthony Davis

Another concerning update on Anthony Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers can’t catch a breath, huh? Things took a terrible turn for the purple and gold. This update only adds salt to the injury. As if the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers wasn’t enough.

Davis sustained a mid-foot strain in the game against the Utah Jazz on Feb. 16 and was expected to miss a few weeks. It’s been eight days now, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the big man will miss 4-5 more weeks. The Lakers hoped to have Davis on the field by the end of the regular season, but it won’t happen. First, they thought that Davis will miss a couple of weeks. The MRI showed that doctors have to be re-evaluated in four weeks. Well, the latest update is really bad.

Concerning update to change the role Anthony Davis has in LA

How will the Lakers handle this? Several analysts believe that the Lakers could make a move to trade Davis. In 37 games with the Lakers, Davis is averaging 23.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. His teammates struggle to make an impact. The Lakers traded a few young players to get Davis. It was a blockbuster trade and yes, it was a good move. Davis helped the Lakers win a title in the middle of a pandemic. He was brilliant in the playoff bubble. However, he wasn’t really explosive in the last couple of years. He seems to lack the durability and mindset to be the ultimate leader in LA.

One proposal sends Davis to the Chicago Bulls. The Lakers would get Zach LaVine, Coby White, and a 2024 1st pick. Another proposal sends the big man to the Charlotte Hornets. The Lakers would get Miles Bridges, 2022 NOP 1st, 2024 CHA, 2026 CHA, Kai Jones, and James Bouknight.

Although these proposals seem to be really far right now, we can’t ignore the severity of the situation in LA. Davis’ struggles to stay healthy may change his future in the NBA. Will he go back to Chicago?
