LeBron James Sends Strong Message on Return to Former Team

Could LeBron James return to Cleveland again? The four-time NBA champion wouldn’t say “no” right away. There has been growing speculation about his potential return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Jason Lloyd of The Athletic asked LeBron about this during the All-Star Weekend, and the king of basketball was really honest.

“The door’s not closed on that,” LeBron said. “I’m not saying I’m coming back and playing, I don’t know. I don’t know what my future holds. I don’t even know when I’m free.”

LeBron James to return to Cleveland

LeBron left Cleveland twice. He was an icon in Cleveland and the Cavaliers won the first ring just because LeBron was leading the team. Cavs fans got really mad when LeBron decided to leave Cleveland to join the Miami Heat. He came back and gave them a ring. The saga didn’t end here, and LeBron left the Cavaliers to play with the Miami Heat.

Joining the Cavaliers makes sense to some people. They have a strong season with a 35-23 record.

“I think Koby and those guys have done an unbelievable job drafting and making trades,” LeBron said. “I think big fella (Jarrett Allen), that acquisition was amazing for them to make that trade. Obviously, Darius Garland is a big-time player. And I think the role that Kevin (Love) is playing right now has kind of uplifted those young guys, seeing a veteran that could sacrifice, a champion that’s won a championship, all the things that he’s done, to come off the bench and play this role. I am not surprised by anything that they’re doing right now.”

LeBron’s season is bad at the moment

LeBron’s Lakers have lost too many games this season. The front office should consider making some changes because LeBron won’t be a Laker forever. In fact, he may leave the Lakers sooner than expected. His son will enter the NBA and LeBron will join the team that drafts Bronny.

“My last year will be played with my son,” LeBron said. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”
