Mac Jones Might Have A New Throwing Coach

Josh McDaniels left the New England Patriots after many years and now he is a head coach with the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Bill Belichick will have to find a new offensive coordinator. Several reports said that Belichick won’t be looking for an OC despite having a few good options at the moment. According to latest reports, Mac Jones is probably working with a new coach.

Jones and McDaniels did a really good job in 2021. The former Patriots OC helped the rookie develop his skills and this success attracted the attention of NFL teams. McDaniels is an experiences coach and his skills have been of great help for Patriots offensive players. Jones trusted his offensive coach and managed to lead the Patriots to a seven-game winning streak in his debut season with the team.

House received the 2021 Legacy Recognition Award from the National Quarterbacks Club. The Patriots quarterback was there, too, and he even posed with House.

Jones entered the NFL at the most difficult time. The Patriots struggled to find the right replacement for Tom Brady. They had Cam Newton for a year, but he didn’t even take the Patriots to the playoffs. The team kept him during training camp, but Newton had to go. Jones beat him in the quarterback battle. The Patriots decided to trust him and gave him the keys to the offense. Is he the quarterback of the future for the Patriots?

House will have to work on Jones’ arm. In his discussion with Tom E. Curran and Phil Perry, House said the rookie has a “functional” arm but “may not be able to throw the deep route consistently.”
