Patriots Wideout Reportedly Garnering Interest For A Trade

The New England Patriots may lose some of their players in free agency. Several veterans are expected to become unrestricted free agents. Head coach Bill Belichick started trimming the roster and veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy was the first to go. Dont’a Hightower, Jamie Collins, JaWhaun Bentley and a few others may follow the same “path.” Well, the Patriots won’t stop here, and one wideout may leave the team through a trade.

It’s N’Keal Harry. The third-year wideout may soon put an end to his tenure with the Patriots. Harry saw too many struggles in the last three years. He didn’t even play much to make an impact. The wideout was plagued with injuries and when healthy his game wasn’t sharp enough. It’s interesting to note that he was a first-round pick for Belichick in 2019. It’s also interesting to note that Harry wasn’t able to build a connection with

Patriots wideout is a trade target

Doug Kyed from Pro Football Focus reported that several teams have shown interest in the wideout. Harry is 24 and he has a lot to offer. He is not a good fit for the Patriots though.

Harry made things really difficult last year. He requested a trade through his agent but joined his teammates in training camp. Many thought that the wideout would use this opportunity and get the best of it. Well… He didn’t. It was worse than ever and Harry had worse results than any other wideout. Let’s not forget that the former first-rounder was a healthy scratch at one point of 2021. Belichick preferred elevating Kristian Wilkerson over using Harry. The wideout had just 12 passes for 184 yards and zero touchdowns in 12 games as a Patriots wideout.

Harry is not a good fit for the Patriots and his value is not that high. New England can engage in a trade deal but they shouldn’t expect a good pick in return. Who will be the first team to do an attempt and get the struggling wideout? NFL analysts will probably make a prediction on his next move. One thing stands for sure. Harry’s time with the Patriots is up!
