Report: Lakers Put LeBron James on Notice

What’s going on in LA? Things don’t look really good for the Los Angeles Lakers and they have lost a lot of games this season. According to latest reports, the Lakers put LeBron James on notice.

The Lakers got the four-time NBA champion on the first day of his free agency. LeBron agreed to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and signed a good deal with LA. His first season was not that good and the Lakers sat outside the playoff picture. LeBron and Anthony Davis won a title inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. That’s all. Lakers players struggled to win games in the last couple of years.

Buss put LeBron James on notice, met with Rich Paul

Rumors suggest that the Lakers plan to get rid of a few players. Losing LeBron at this point is not even an option. However, Jeanie Buss sure warned LeBron and Klutch Sports that they have to “stop” the shenanigans.

“LeBron spent all of All-Star Weekend just doing things, putting stuff out there,” the analyst noted during a February 28 episode of “The Bill Simmons Podcast.” “Floating Sam Presti, floating the, ‘When Bronny James is coming in the league, I am playing with him. That’s how you get me to be on your team.’ Floating some third-party stuff that then they denied after about how they had tried to facilitate these Westbrook trades, they were unhappy. Taking no accountability for any of it.

“And then I think what happened was, Jeanie Buss is a tough lady, man. Wait til people watch this HBO show, like she’s been in the league since the early 80s. And I think at some point, she stood up to those guys and was like, ‘No, stop, you don’t get to undermine all this. Stop, you’re here, you’re under contract next year. What are we doing?’ And I think they had a powwow, that’s what I heard. But I think she stood up for at least something, but for them to unwind last week and pretend that they weren’t kind of being chaos agents was really strange.”

Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul had a meeting with Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka. They discussed the whole situation in LA. It’s all good now… Well, guess what. LeBron didn’t know a thing about this meeting. That’s what he told the media when asked about it.
