Russell Westbrook Rips Timberwolves After Trash Talk

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Los Angeles Lakers and players had a great time trashing LA players. As you may be guessing, Russ was their favorite target. Well, Russell Westbrook rips Timberwolves players for a really good reason. He doesn’t even bother with their criticism.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Patrick Beverley disrespected the Lakers veteran and it was really ugly. It was the ultimate disrespect!

“I honestly don’t pay no mind to it,” Westbrook said following the loss. “Maybe the other guys [do]. But they weren’t talking to me. They were talking to individual guys particularly, but the trash talking doesn’t bother me none.

“Nobody over there has done anything in this league that would make me pick my eyes up, like, ‘Oh, they’re talking mess. Let me respond.’ No. It’s fine. They’re good. They won the game. Happy for them. Move onto the next one.”

Russell Westbrook rips Timberwolves players, Bev is frustrated

Beverley used the opportunity to call out Westbrook for his postgame comments. Well, NBA fans didn’t really like his attitude and this is just too much. Beverley took this rivalry to another level.

“Playoffs every year,” Beverley wrote on Twitter and even retweeted Westbrook’s comments. “2 western conference finals with 2 different Teams individual stats or team stats? I thought it was a team sport??”

Wayne Ellington is not even surprised. He knows that NBA teams tend to destroy struggling teams and make their time on the floor even more miserable. He has been around for a really long time and this disgusting behavior doesn’t surprise him at all.

“I’ve been in this league long enough to realize it’s is a front-running league,” Ellington said. “When you’re up, everything is going great. When you’re down, they’ll kick you. … So right now, we have been getting kicked and teams have been enjoying it. It all comes back around full circle.”

The Lakers have a 29-40 record at this point and LeBron James is a bit frustrated. Things get messy in the second half of the season and his patience is tested. Let’s just say this season is a little more challenging than before.

Is this a warning for the rest of the NBA?
