Mac Jones and Patriots Players React to DeVante Parker Trade

The New England Patriots had a few reasons to avoid making big moves in the offseason. They really had to keep that cap space intact. The Patriots have great names on their roster. Well, they still need receivers, linebackers, cornerbacks, etc. Guess what… The Patriots have just made a move to get DeVante Parker through a trade.

The talented wide receiver will be catching passes from Mac Jones. He is definitely a good receiving option for the team.

Bill Belichick and his team will be sending a 2023 third-round pick to the Miami Dolphins. This move will help them get Parker and a fifth-rounder in the 2022 NFL Draft. I guess they liked the idea of having Parker as a No.1 receiver on the outside. Parker is joining Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, and Hunter Henry. He adds the perfect depth to the unit.

Jones liked the idea of throwing passes to Parker, too. He was the first to express his excitement about Parker’s trade.

Patriots get DeVante Parker through a good trade

Parker measures at 6’3’’ and he has the right size. The Patriots will get the best of it. Unlike his fellow receivers, Parker has had a 1,000-yard season. What’s the biggest priority right now? The newly added receiver should build good relationship with Jones. Their chemistry will be of great help for the team. Well, it’s the most important link on the Patriots’ roster. The quarterback-receiver relationship is really important for every NFL team.

Let’s go back in time. Tom Brady and Julian Edelman had incredible connection. They won a lot of games together. The Patriots won a lot of championships together. NFL analysts agree that Brady and Edelman had the best connection in league history. Belichick would definitely love to see the same chemistry between Parker and Jones. That’s the ideal scenario for the Patriots.
