Magic Johnson Shares His True Feelings on LeBron, Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have a terrible season and sit outside the playoff picture. A miracle could send the team to the play-in tournament. They lost the game to Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Does it get any worse than this? Most NBA experts say that the Lakers won’t even get any near the tournament. Is their season really over? Magic Johnson discussed the numbers LeBron James delivered and shared his true feelings for the Lakers.

King James leads the NBA in points. Well, this didn’t take his team to the playoffs. Frank Vogel praised his superstar, but also said that LeBron won’t win the MVP award because his team lost too many games.

Magic Johnson knows that LeBron did his best with the Lakers

The disastrous season may put a black dot on LeBron’s career and his legacy. Magic Johnson is out of the front office but he follows everything his team does. He heard all the comments about LeBron’s legacy and he is definitely sure that the kid of Akron is doing a good job. According to him, the bad season won’t affect his legacy.

“The legacy is set in stone. … He’s inching up there [towards Michael Jordan], but his story is still being written. …. He’s a champion not only on the court but off the court,” Magic said.

Johnson blasted the speculation that LeBron’s legacy is destroyed. The Hall-of-Famer knows that LeBron is a champion and he trusts his potential. We couldn’t agree more. LeBron has accomplished more than any other player in the NBA and fans should respect this. The same applies to his doubters. Skip Bayless should definitely pay attention to what Magic Johnson has to say. He should stop trashing LeBron and start trusting his potential.

LeBron didn’t give up despite the bad record. He wanted to get more help from his teammates. Maybe the Lakers should consider giving him a better roster next season. Oh wait, will he stay in LA after the season? There are so many options right now. He will do the best for himself and his family.
