Lakers Star Anthony Davis Sends Big Message To The NBA After Latest Win

The Los Angeles Lakers had a bad start of the 2022-23 NBA season, but it seems like they have everything under control. The latest win over the Houston Rockets improved their record in the packed Western Conference. NBA experts had mixed predictions for the season and Lakers players surprised many talking heads. Anthony Davis delivered a bold message to the NBA and opponents got the word. It was more like a warning.

“We getting greedy,” the Lakers big man said. “We are not satisfied.”

AD was brilliant in the win over Houston. He finished the night with 40 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks on 15-for-20 shooting.

Lakers players trust their teammate and his leadership. Young Austin Reaves believes that his team can be lethal to the rest of the NBA. That’s the optimism we all needed. Lakers players have the confidence they need to become champions.

“When AD comes out and does what AD did tonight, and the last 3 games, and honestly for most of the season … if he continues to do this we’ll be a problem,” Austin Reaves said after the win over Houston.

Head coach Darvin Ham likes Davis’ style on the floor. He’s become a dominant force and opponents better be careful.

“Not so much just getting the numbers, but how he’s getting the numbers,” Ham said. “Him being in attack mode. Just playing downhill constantly toward the paint, toward the rim. Living in the paint. Being the main catalyst. … And we expect him to continue that.”

LeBron James, Anthony Davis have a warning message for the NBA

LeBron is confident, too. He missed a good chunk of the season, but his team did well in his absence. Lakers players didn’t give up and LeBron likes it.

“We just want to put ourselves in position to be able to compete for a championship,” the four-time NBA champion said. “It’s a journey, and obviously we don’t have as much chemistry as a lot of other teams trying to compete for a championship or that have aspirations to win a championship, but I like what we’ve been building over the last month or so.

“Even when I was out for the four weeks, I liked what we’ve been building and I’m happy to be back in the mix.”
