Lakers Superstar LeBron James Pushing For Anthony Davis Trade

Bill Reiter from CBS Sports shared a shocking take on the Los Angeles Lakers and fans are confused. According to Reiter, LeBron James wants to put Anthony Davis on the trade block.

Reiter’s comments sure sparked a huge debate. Will the Lakers give up on their big man? They traded a big chunk of the roster to get him and Davis helped the team win a title in his first season as a Laker. However, LeBron is fed up with AD.

Davis missed many games due to injuries and so did LeBron. Davis stepped in as a perfect leader in LeBron’s absence. The Lakers won a lot of games with him being the ultimate leader. Well, Reuter says he may soon leave the franchise.

“I’ve heard he’s over Anthony Davis. He’s frustrated with the guy. He doesn’t believe in his toughness for obvious reasons,” Reiter said during an appearance on the Zach Gelb Show. “But I’m extremely curious if the Lakers — I don’t think they will — but do anything really bold and maybe move AD. I’m not saying they’re going to, I’m just saying, LeBron is angry and he doesn’t believe in AD as his No. 2. I think LA is under a lot of pressure from LeBron.”

Davis is one of the better players in the NBA. Losing him would leave a big hole on the Lakers roster, but the team will also get a chance to pick the right teammate for LeBron. The king of basketball has a few good seasons left in the tank and the Lakers have to be wise and find the ideal contributor.

The Lakers like Davis and won’t really give up on him that easily. He is a great player when healthy. Will the front office follow LeBron’s demand?

“I think there’s a 3.5 percent chance [of the trade happening],” Reiter said. “If Rob Pelinka hadn’t pulled off such a really impressive plate of moves at the trade deadline and brought in these random guys that became not so random and made the Lakers team that obviously made the Conference Finals, my percentage would be higher. There’s a bit of a power struggle, or political struggle, going on between LeBron and Pelinka.

“I don’t think Pelinka is just going to bow down to what LeBron wants, especially moving on from Anthony Davis. But I do think LeBron is over AD and I think there’s not 0 percent chance or something like that could happen.”
