LeBron James Explains Why It’s Great Having Rajon Rondo in ‘Foxhole’ With Him

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has great words for veteran Rajon Rondo. He definitely appreciates his role in the team’s success in the playoffs. The four-time NBA MVP has seen a lot of postseason games and he can definitely recognize Rondo’s greatness.

King James was brilliant in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals. He finished the game with 36 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. LeBron said he trusts Rondo and his trust actually helps him handle clutch situations.

“[It’s beneficial] when you have enough people you can trust and be in the foxhole with you, not from a basketball aspect, but from a cerebral aspect,” he said. “The postseason is about making adjustments from game to game, and also being able to make adjustments on the fly because things happen in real time. Being able to see how defenses are playing, seeing how the game is being played, seeing how the flow of the game is being played, there’s just not many guys that can do that in our league. In the postseason, it’s gigantic. Having Do’ on your side definitely helps.”

LeBron James praised Rajon Rondo for a good reason

Rondo was awesome in his game against the Rockets. He scored 21 points and nine assists. His fourth-quarter performance was out of this world and LeBron loves that.

In a 10-0 run that gave LA a lead for good, the veteran scored eight points on a couple of threes and a layup. Rondo had a steal and an assist during the game-deciding run. It was magical and his presence was felt.

Rondo praised his teammates following the great game.

I just took what was given,” he said. “It started on the defensive end for me. Guys found me when I was open, and I took the shots with confidence. And I got some easy layups.”

LeBron, Anthony Davis, Rondo, and the rest of the players lead the series. They will play Game 4 on Thursday and this win will help the Lakers make the Western Conference Finals for the first time in ten years.
