Mark Cuban Drops Claim About What Lakers LeBron James ‘Wants’

LeBron James has a good deal with the Los Angeles Lakers at the moment, but Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says the superstar wants to be on his team. It is a big and weird claim and it was more than enough for fans to start speculating.

Bobbi Althoff and Cuban talked about the Mavericks and their performance on the basketball court. She likes LeBron and everything he brings on the basketball court. She asked the franchise owner if LeBron is on the Mavericks’ roster and Cuban dropped a big bomb.

“No, he’s not,” Cuban said. “He wants to be.”

LeBron has been linked to pretty much every team in the NBA. There are also people who believe that he will retire after the 2023-24 NBA season. Well, LeBron is here to prove everyone wrong. Is Cuban wrong?

There was a big rumor suggesting that Kyrie Irving may convince LeBron to come to Dallas. Yes, Irving even texted the Lakers superstar to share this crazy idea. What did LeBron text back? It wasn’t a “no”. The four-time NBA champion would gladly agree to a reunion.

LeBron has a chance to become an unrestricted free agent next season. He can join any team in the NBA and could definitely sign with the team that selects his son. Of course, he will not be chasing a monster deal. LeBron will just get whatever he is being offered just to play with his son.

Will he go to Dallas? Cuban didn’t try to get LeBron.

“We have this guy named Luka Doncic,” the owner said.

Cuban has his own superstar, Lakers want LeBron and AD on their roster

The Lakers made a big move by signing Anthony Davis to another three-year deal. A Western Conference exec said the Lakers know what they are doing right now.

“You sign AD to this deal, there is the Klutch connection there, and LeBron has a certain level of responsibility for what Davis does with the Lakers,” the exec told Sean Deveney from Heavy Sports. “The message to LeBron is that they want him there and AD signing that is a message, too. It paves the way for these two guys to stay together for the foreseeable future.”
