Anthony Davis’ Focus Level Draws Big Darvin Ham Take That Will Make Lakers Fans Happy

The Los Angeles Lakers traded a big chunk of their roster to get Anthony Davis a few seasons ago. It was a good move and AD helped them win a title in his first season with the team. It was the 17th title in Lakers history and the big man cemented his spot on the roster. The front office decided to trust Davis, giving him massive contract extensions and head coach Darvin Ham has great words for the talented player.

Davis established himself as a key player on the Lakers roster. He joined LeBron James on his quest to win a championship and became part of the most lethal duo in the NBA. When healthy, LeBron and Davis can do wonders and nothing has changed in the meantime.

The Lakers went against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday and Davis showed his magic. Yes, the team lost the game with a 108-97 final score, but Davis showed his dominant side once again. He warned the rest of the NBA and delivered a powerful message to his next opponent. Ham likes this attitude and hopes to see more of it in the regular season.

“I see a level of focus that’s been infectious. He’s been phenomenal. He’s the heart and soul of our team,” the head coach said of Davis.

Talented Davis did meet the expectations Ham had last season

Davis saw limited playing time in the game. In 19 minutes against the Bucks, he scored 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks. This is just the preseason and AD is warming up for the real deal.

The big man was really efficient in the preseason despite his limited minutes. He averages 14.3 points on 54.5 percent shooting from the field, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. These numbers will definitely go up later in the regular season. Davis came to LA to win and nothing will top him right now. He is healthy and consistent and it does not get any better than this.
