Lakers’ LeBron James Addresses Current State Of Boxing After Francis Ngannou Robbery Vs. Tyson Fury

LeBron James may be busy winning games with the Los Angeles Lakers, but also has time to watch a good boxing match. Well, we can all agree that the most recent match he watched was not that good. It was controversial to say the least. A controversial split decision put an end to the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

Fans all over the world shared their thoughts on social media and LeBron didn’t miss the chance to jump in. According to his comment on X, the four-time NBA champion will think twice before watching another boxing match. LeBron wasn’t too happy about the outcome and it shows.

“Exactly why I don’t watch boxing! C’mon man!” LeBron wrote on X.

Fury claimed a controversial split decision win over Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Ngannou, 37, put his opponent on the canvas in the third round. One of the judges scored it 95-94 in favor of Ngannou, but two judges scored it 96-93 and 95-94 in favor of Fury.

In his interview with the media, Fury explained that he wasn’t hurt in the match. He did note that Ngannou is “an awkward man and a good puncher,” adding that he respects him a lot. Fury did admit that Ngannou has given him one of his toughest fights in the last decade.

LeBron disagrees with the boxing decision for a reason

Ngannou made his professional basketball boxing debut and had a slow start of the match. Fury tried to get advantage of this and even read his opponent. Ngannou issued a big warning in round two. Furry hit the canvas in round three after being hit behind the right ear. He couldn’t find rhythm until the fifth round, but Ngannou was dominant in the later rounds. He was leading the match, but scoreboards went against him. Fury won the commemorative “Riyadh champion” belt to extend his unbeaten record to 35.

If you ask LeBron, he’d say that Ngannou is the ultimate winner. This split decision reminded him that the world of boxing is plagued with questionable judgements and crooked ruling. Fans are fed up and so is LeBron.
