Patriots’ Bill Belichick Drops Cryptic Response On Mac Jones Future As Starting QB After Loss To Miami

The New England Patriots lost their sixth game of the season and Mac Jones could really lose his job as a starting QB for the team. Well, head coach Bill Belichick didn’t actually say this, but he did say that everyone needs to perform better.

The Patriots went against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8. It was a dough game, but they lost it. NFL analysts were surprised because the Patriots are coming off a good win over the Buffalo Bills. It was an unexpected win for the team. Why did they lose the game to the Dolphins? Who is responsible for the ugly loss?

Jones needs to be more consistent as a starting QB for the Patriots

Head coach Bill Belichick received a lot of questions about the loss and most of the questions were related to Jones. Will Belichick replace Jones as a starting quarterback?

If you ask the head coach, he will say that everyone needs to get better, including coaches and players.

“We all need to play better,” Belichick said. “We all need to coach and play better.”

In the loss to the Dolphins, the Alabama quarterback completed 19-of-29 passes for 161 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. He could have avoided this interception, but we can agree that he had a decent game. It wasn’t his worse game of the season. It was a decent one. The third-year quarterback also found Juju Smith-Schuster to bring the Patriots within one score.

It didn’t help though. The Patriots lost another game and NFL analysts criticized the team again. Belichick and Jones found themselves in the hot seat again.

The Patriots struggled on several levels last night. The defense made too many mistakes. Players allowed Miami to score 31 points.

Belichick may not say much about Jones’ performance, but his cryptic response made people talk. He is not happy with the situation and hopefully, Jones will improve himself. Hopefully, everyone else improves themselves. There is still time to save the season.
