Patriots Lose Pro Bowl Defensive Superstar ‘Indefinitely’

The New England Patriots are coming off of a bad game. They suffered a blowout to the Dallas Cowboys and the situation doesn’t look good at all. This wasn’t just a third loss so far in the regular season. It was a game that brought many injuries to the locker room. Pro Bowl edge-rusher Matthew Judon left the game and he will not suit up for the team in the next couple of months. Unfortunately, he may even miss the entire season.

Losing Judon to an injury was probably worse than the defeat itself. The talented veteran suffered a biceps tear at AT&T Stadium. He will have a surgery on October 4 and will take his time to recover. Tom Pelissero from NFL Network discussed Judon’s situation and let’s just say Patriots fans went in full panic mode.

Adam Schefter from ESPN reported on the Judon’s injury as well. According to him, the veteran player will do his best to return to the field as soon as possible. However, Schefter couldn’t really say whether Judon will actually return to game action.

Judon “wants to try to come back to play again this year, but there are questions about whether he can or will. Either way he’s out indefinitely.”

Patriots will have to move on without the Pro Bowl edge-rusher

This was probably the worst update for Patriots fans. Judon carries a big load for the team and he is one of the key players on Bill Belichick’s roster. When it comes to Belichick, some analysts questioned his decision to leave Judon on the field late in the game. He benched Mac Jones for Bailey Zappe in order to prevent an injury, but left Judon on the field. Why? Well, Belichick have to leave someone in the game.

The Patriots have to find a way to move on without one of their key players. It will be hard and challenging, but Belichick seems to have everything under control. Let’s see what happens next week.
