Lakers’ LeBron James Fires Shot At ‘Friends’ Criticism

LeBron James and Kevin Durant are rivals on the basketball court, but they are also great friends who have tons of respect for one another. These two have approached the sunset of their careers and they really appreciate each game they play together.

One X user tried to fuel the rivalry between LeBron and Durant, but things didn’t go the way he wanted.

It all started when the Phoenix Suns posted a photo of LeBron and Durant smiling on the basketball court. “Respect,” wrote the franchise. The Los Angeles Lakers did win the game with a 122-119 score, but it is just a game, right?

The X user didn’t like the photo and the story behind it.

“I hate this ‘we all fiends’ laughing during the game sh**!! It’s time to go to work, kill these mofos and keep your for on their necks. THIS IS 1 of the reason why MJ23 is the (goat emoji). MJ23 simply killed EVERYONE IN SIGHT!” the person wrote.

LeBron and Durant will always be friends

It’s interesting to note that both LeBron and Durant responded to this comment. KD made a good point and probably made this person think twice before tweeting anything similar in the future.

“At some point, yall non athletes gon realize that friends compete harder against one another,” the Suns veteran wrote.

LeBron didn’t waste his words and just posted a photo of Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan smiling during the 1993 NBA Finals.

In the 122-119 win for the Lakers, LeBron delivered 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. Durant scored 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game. They both played really great basketball, but LeBron “earned” another injury.

“It never loosened up,” LeBron told the media after the game. “I was driving and KD’s knee at the force I was going with went right to my shin. Which, pretty much, it locked up right then and there, shot down to my foot. So I just tried to keep my composure, make sure I was OK and try to keep it stretched out as much as possible, tried to keep it loose as possible so I could play the game and be effective.”
